Punjabi PaniniKeypad app for iPhone and iPad

This App allows you to write in Punjabi/Panjabi on your iPhone, iPad fast and very easy. You can type messages(SMS), email, chat, jokes, shayari, lyrics, post comments, Facebook and Twitter!

Punjabi has over 75 characters in popular use. Instead of putting all of them on the screen, the Panini Keypad puts only the 11 characters that you are most likely to type. They are large, easy to spot and point.

After you have entered a character, the system starts predicting characters you are likely to write next. This goes on in a chain and most often it would predict correctly, if not, use the Next button.

How to type:
For a Yuktakshar (half letter) - a consonant cluster ligatures - use the Halant character (in red) between the consonants to form them. It will be suggested automatically in most cases.

Note also that a matra - ( a dependent vowel ) is always written after the consonant. All the character types - consonants, independent vowels, dependent vowels are shown in different colours so that it is easy for you to understand, search and also learn.

You can send messages, emails in Punjabi which will travel to any phone anywhere in the world in Unicode and display if the font is present. You can also copy paste to FB and twitter.

The Ergonomic Mode is meant for your thumbing and the Nearest key mode most suitable when you are using your finger.
